A picture postcard of Lower Silesia rural life, Polna Zdrój is a Polish countryside stay at its best. A 200 year old farmhouse has been revamped, by a well known architect (who happens to be the owner) and his culinary-skilled wife, with a glorious result - a real country gem.
Peaceful and bucolic, this boutique stay has been famed for its cuisine, rustic charm and fabulous owners. Polna Zdrój is where families and friends come to celebrate - be it a boutique wedding, a big birthday bash or simply renting the place out and letting the hosts make the magic happen. Under the pitched roof there are four stylish bedrooms, and downstairs a spacious living room, dining room and huge terrace, all set to help embrace the relaxed country.

Events and house rental: Polna Zdrój focuses mainly on private events such as boutique weddings for a maximum of 70 people, however the capacity for an overnight stay is 16. Other amenities include a 40 sq metre terrace with a mountain view, small ballroom and a separate dining room. Plenty of experience in private events translate into great relationship with other essential suppliers such as florists (Kwiaty & Miut), hair and makeup artists, photographers, violinist (Janusz Nykiel), DJ (Jegomość), pastry chef, horse carriage and dedicated tableware (by Bolesławiec Polish pottery). Facilities: Cozy living room with a fireplace, viewing terrace, kitchenette, sauna, Russian style banya with a mountain view, kids playground and a treehouse, bbq, parking, Wi-Fi, complimentary tea and coffee.

The honeymoon suite has been lovingly designed by the owner who happens to be a well-known Polish architect - wooden floors, rustic furniture, gilded mirror and flowery wallpaper create a romantic feel and perfectly unique vibe.
There are a lot of hiking trails in the area, so do not forget about comfortable shoes, and do not forget to bring the swimming gear for the banya experience.
Good to know
Polna Zdroj is primarily a boutique event house, but off-season (from January to March and from November to December) individual guests are very welcome.
Magda the owner is a fantastic chef with strong emphasis on fresh and seasonal local ingredients - she even published her own cookbook on slow food. Her relaxed, unfussy and delicious dishes are lovingly prepped daily with top quality ingredients and plenty of imagination. She knows all the best local suppliers and treats her guests to a top quality meats, regional cheeses and honey. She also set up her own smokehouse on site as well as growing her own fruit and veg.
Children are all very welcome here. There is a playground with a huge sandbox and a tree house with a zip-line. In the area, horse riding and skiing lessons can be organise and in the summer the nearby castle organises art activities. On the practical note there are highchairs available, two cots and a kitchenette.
There is a free parking onsite. Due to the location up the hill the driveway is fairly steep, and in the winter months cars may require snow chains.
The countryside around is unspoilt and protected by the national park status, with plenty of outdoors activities to choose from. There are picturesque walking and cycling routes, canoeing on the Bóbr River, to ski trails, aqua-parks and horse riding. The town is surrounded by the Pilchowickie Lake, the Góra Zamkowa nature reserve (which aims to protect valuable plant species), as well as the Valley of Palaces and Gardens at the foot of Śnieżka Mountain. Nearby is Bolesławiec famous for its pottery products, a craft brewery in Lwówek Śląski and a famous Sunday flea market in Cieplice. Geology enthusiasts will be fascinated by the Land of Extinct Volcanoes, as well as agate and uranium mines, whilst children (and not only) will love the historic railway of the Bóbr Valley.
