Tucked away in the hills approaching the blissful Mazurian Lake District this one-time primary school is now a stylish B&B.
Fans travel across Poland to indulge in its stellar cuisine served by the passionate owners who produce their own amazing cheese as well as jam and pate. Other delicacies are sourced from the neighbouring farms and other local suppliers. The house is surrounded by gardens, trees and meadows which are full of flowers in the summer. Just across the road is a heavenly spa and the surrounding area of tranquil countryside makes it a perfect rural retreat.

IN THE KNOW
The Herbarium room (twin) has a vintage countryside charm with beautifully decorated wooden furniture. Couples will love the Nautical Room with painted white furniture, exposed brick walls and a romantic garden view.
Pack your good appetite and favourite bottle of wine if you like (although there is a small but brilliant selection to purchase here). Comfortable walking shoes will also be useful.

The dining experience is communal and intimate with a cheerful dinner party feel.
The owners are chefs and every day whip up a storm of seasonal Polish and European estate harvested delights served in the surroundings of the true Masurian country kitchen. The gourmet four course menu include soups, quiches, tender meats, locally produced cheeses, mouth watering puddings and anything that takes chefs fancy on a day.
There is a small but quality selection of wine to choose from to accompany your meals and own bottles are also welcome.
Special dietary requirements are happily accommodated however must be communicated ahead of the meal. Breakfast is a feast of freshly baked bread, homemade butter, jams, seasonal fruit, eggs and aromatic coffee.
Kids of all ages are more than welcome and special arrangements have been made in most of the rooms whether it is a single bed, a cot or a little annex for the offsprings. There are also tree houses and play area for daytime entertainment. Bikes, cross country skis and hammocks are also popular with kids.
There is free parking on site. Public transport by train or coach will get you as far as Ostróda (23km away), Iława (39km) or Olsztynek (35km). From there transfer can be organised by taxi or with help from the hosts.
The hilly countryside is perfect for long hikes, biking and cross country skiing in the winter. The adjacent forest is a great spot for wild bluberry and mushroom picking when in season and lets not forget the plentiful lakes nearby (the nearest is 11 km away).
For anyone interested in Polish history there is the famous Grunwald battlefield 18 km away and an Etnographic Park in Olsztynek 35 km away.
